Dear Dance Friends,
As we celebrate the unique and vibrant spirit of Crested Butte, we are reminded of how deeply dance and the performing arts enrich our lives. These art forms spark creativity, self-expression, and confidence—qualities that extend far beyond the stage. For our performers, young and old, the experience of creating together fosters resilience, teamwork, and a sense of connection and belonging, while offering our community something beautiful to share and enjoy.
The performing arts are at the heart of what brings our town together. Each rehearsal, each performance, and each gathering of audience and artists strengthens the bonds between us and nurtures a culture of imagination and joy. By supporting local dance and performance programs, you are not only investing in the growth of individual artists but also in the vibrancy and unity of our community as a whole.
Looking ahead, we are committed to providing opportunities for all ages to experience the transformative power of performance. With your support, we can ensure Crested Butte remains a place where creativity flourishes, talent is celebrated, and the stage continues to shine brightly for all. Thank you for considering an investment in the arts and in the future of our community. Together, we can keep the performing arts alive and thriving in Crested Butte!
With gratitude,
Chrissie Nehrenberg, Board Chair
We look forward to partnering with you to uplift the Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley communities through dance!

How Your Sponsorship Helps
Outreach Programs
We believe that dance should not be confined to a studio or theater but should go outside the traditional walls to open up dance empowerment in unconventional spaces to include true inclusion and diversity for all.
Crested Butte Dance Collective
School of Dance values adults in dance! Sponsorships will support teacher education, aerial program development, and adult scholarship programs. These funds support local events such as Vinotok, CBDC Fall Show, and Move the Butte.
Guest Artists
We hire guest artists for master classes and workshops to offer enrichment and comprehensive learning opportunities for our teachers, students, and community.
Scholarship Program
We provide scholarships to local families and students who require and request assistance.
Inclusive Programming
Your sponsorship will help CBSOD pursue inclusivity on a valley-wide and then state-wide spectrum.
State of the Art Performances
CBSOD and longtime community partner Center for the Arts offer professional-level dance performances that bring the entire community together each year. Your sponsorship helps provide access to state-of-the-art shows in our rural mountain town so that we can say, “Come for the snow; stay for the show!”
Get inspired!
